Other than Autumn's baseball and both Autumn and Joshua's swim lessons, May was consumed by our trip to Disney. Lauren whole family went, so we traveled in a large group of 10. It was an absolute blast and we were treated to some great weather. We had to fight off some sickness, but the kids are still wishing we were down there. It was so magical for Joshua.
It's really a shame that Joshua was feeling so bad this day, these were COOL. Here's Lightning McQueenI got to get some good run training in down in Disney. Now using my new Powertap and getting some good bike workouts in. Really lacking in the swim department (maybe 3 swims this year), but hopefully get in the water a couple times before the Quassy Double next weekend...just for peace of mind. Hoping to get some good training in over the holiday weekend as well. Not planning to kill it at Quassy, just going up to have a good time. The kids LOVED it last year and REV3 does it right. After Quassy, Doug Weatherby from Recovery Pump will be doing a midweek seminar to educate and demo their product to our local athletes, then it's time for our local midweek training series to kick off. Lot's going on, hopefully it will equate to some extra time in the water for me!
I have some local multisport races planned for June, then late June we're headed to vacation in Vermont. I found a triathlon up there which will be awesome, I love Vermont in the summer. We'll stay through July 5th and head back home. Still undecided as to my race schedule as the summer wears on. Would like to do some 5k's, some trail races then the Rock N Roll Philly Half in September. Also found a really nice looking inaugural Half Iron (Lake George, NY...the Big George) on 9/4 which I'm considering. In my mind it's either Big George Half or race the USAT Age Group Nationals a couple of weeks before. Then it's full blown CYCLOCROSS season. We're planning the 2nd annual Town Hall Cross for October 8, 2011.
Enough for now. Lots of painting to be done at home. Pergola may be finished by next weekend!

So glad that you guys had a good time in Disney, despite the sickness! :(
ReplyDeleteBest of luck this coming weekend. Wish we were going to be there! It's been too long!
